I was approached by Kenneth Alexander an active duty soldier and member of Viper company. He asked me to do a 24x48 painting of his 8 fallen brothers from the Ambush in Korengal Valley Afghanistan. It was an honor to have been tasked to do something so personal for this young soldier.
Jerry Bingham is one of my favorite artist. Many people associate Jerry with comics, but he is so much more as an artist. His use of light & color in his painted works is amazing. Jerry has a deep passion for Western Art and it shows. I have often wished that I were able to produce the type of work that Jerry is able to do. Being an artist myself and knowing my present limitations it would be such an honor to study under Jerry and learn from an amazing talent. Jerry Bingham works as an illustrator, designer and comic book artist. He has done art for comic books by Marvel, First, TSR, Malibu, Dark Horse, Heavy Metal and others. He is best known for his contributions to 'Marvel Team-Up' and the DC graphic novel 'Batman: Son of the Demon'. Other titles he worked on are 'Onyx Overlord' (Marvel, text by Moebius, Randy and Jean-Marc Lofficier), 'Beowulf' (First Comics), and a comic adaptation of 'Alien Nation' (DC). His work has been featured in Heavy Metal and Omni Magazine. He left comics in the late 1990s and has since worked on making production art for movies and designs for Disney theme parks and shopping centers at the West Coast.
Below are some examples of his amazing art.
